Map of Emotions by Joey Lowenstein

Here Joey explains his thoughts behind his painting Map of Emotions (painted, September 02, 2022): “I titled this painting ‘Map of Emotions.’ I chose certain colors that depict inner feelings of contemplation, deep thoughts, and the inner process when overcoming anxiety. Overall, it’s an illustration of my strength during turmoil. My reflection during static and the peace I search for when the traffic in my mind gets overwhelming.”

He is Joey’s Rabbi and Creative Awareness Guide living in Jerusalem, Israel. With Rabbi Schwartz, they work on drawing out Joey’s inner voice by using a keyboard to communicate. During their meetings, Joey shares his poetry, his insights, and any questions he may have. These interactions and activities also help Joey feel centered.
