The Sun, Rain, Moon, and Surprise by Joey Lowenstein
Here Joey explains his thoughts behind his painting The Sun, Rain, Moon, and Surprise (painted August 13, 2022): “This painting is all about the various emotions one can feel in a day, month, or year. We fluctuate constantly from happiness, sadness, stressed, and satisfaction. I see the sun, rain, moon, and surprise as the four mysterious feelings that can arise out of nowhere. We cannot plan how we wake up each day…but, like sunglasses, a telescope, or our imagination we can always choose how we react or adapt to each situation.”

The Joey Lowenstein Family Foundation — Spiritual activities are very personal. For Joey, he meets two to three times a week via Skype with Rabbi Yitzchak Schwartz. He is Joey’s Rabbi and Creative Awareness Guide living in Jerusalem, Israel. With Rabbi Schwartz, they work on drawing out Joey’s inner voice by using a keyboard to communicate. During their meetings, Joey shares his poetry, his insights, and any questions he may have. These interactions and activities also help Joey feel centered.
